Frequently Asked Questions

Find all the information you need about our Cornish baking experiences in Cornwall. From booking details to what to expect on the day, I'm here to help you prepare for your baking experience.

Booking FAQs

Do I need to have parking?

No. Parking nearby is helpful when I’m bringing equipment and ingredients, but it isn’t essential. Just let me know what parking is available when you book and I'll plan around it.

How much kitchen space do we need?

You don’t need a huge kitchen. A working oven and enough clear worktop or table space for everyone to work comfortably is usually all we need.

Is there a minimum number of people?

Experiences are priced on a minimum booking equivalent to four guests. Smaller groups are very welcome — the minimum experience price simply still applies.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as digital wallets and cash. You can, if you prefer, pay by BACS but in order to verify payment, it will need to be paid before the experience.

What is the maximum group size?

Our home-based workshops typically accommodate 4-6 people to ensure a hands-on, personal experience for everyone involved. If you're looking for more, please get in contact as I'll always try to help :)

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?

A non-refundable deposit of £25 is taken at the time of booking.  Rescheduling is subject to availability but I'll always do what I can!

Workshop Experiences

Can we do both pasties and scones?

Absolutely! My Ultimate Cornish Baking Experience combines both, so you can make traditional Cornish pasties and enjoy a full scone/cream-tea experience in the same session.

Can you come to an Airbnb, cottage or other holiday accommodation?

Yes — that’s exactly what Donna’s Cornish Kitchen is designed for. As long as you have permission to use the kitchen and there’s a working oven, I can bring the experience to you.

Do the workshops cover special diets?

We certainly do. Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free, we can adjust our recipes. Just mention any allergies or dietary needs when you book so I can source the right local produce to ensure your baking experience is delicious.

What is required for the class?

All you need is your curiosity. I supply every ingredient, tool, apron, and even refreshments. Please have a hair tie if needed. We spend a good amount of time standing, so make sure you are dressed for a kitchen session, and yes, if you're comfy then slippers are of course welcome!

What can I do in Cornwall when it rains?

Don't let the drizzle stop you. It is the perfect time for cosy indoor fun like pasty making with me, exploring our beautiful local galleries and museums, or hunkering down in a seaside café with a hot drink to watch the stormy Atlantic waves from the warmth.
