Meet Donna - the Baker Behind Donna's Cornish Kitchen

Donna's Cornish Kitchen began with a simple idea of teaching others, an obsession with food, and a deep love for our rugged coastline. My mission is to preserve the art of traditional Cornish baking, fostering a warm environment where heritage recipes are shared, taught, and celebrated one pasty, scone or fairing at a time.

A Passion for Traditional Cornish Baking

I’m Donna – Cornish born and bred, originally from St Ives. After years working in hospitality and teaching, I created Donna’s Cornish Kitchen to bring together two things I’ve always loved: good Cornish food and sharing what I know with others.

The idea came from seeing how many visitors want to experience the real Cornwall while they’re here, not just tick off places to visit. I thought, why not bring a little bit of Cornwall directly to them?

So Donna’s Cornish Kitchen was born. I come to your holiday home with everything we need, and together we make some of Cornwall’s best-loved food – from learning how to make and crimp a traditional Cornish pasty to baking proper Cornish scones.

My experiences are relaxed, hands-on and never too serious. Along the way I’ll share stories, history, traditions and little tips I’ve picked up over the years – and, best of all, we get to eat what we make.

For me, it’s about giving you more than a cooking class – it’s a little piece of Cornwall to take home with you.
